Where shall we go shopping now? That’s what we thought before heading to beautiful Antwerp. There are so many great cities in the Netherlands and I’ve already discovered a lot of them. However that’s why we decided to go to Belgium and discover Antwerp. Cities that are still really cultural and oldish, are my favorites. I can really enjoy walking along the canals of Amsterdam, but Rotterdam also is an amazing city. It’s more modern than Amsterdam and Antwerp, but also a lovely city.
Let’s talk about Antwerp
On October 19 I went to Antwerp, the day after I passed my car theorie test. We went to Antwerp by train and we arrived there very quick. What really impressed me, were the different architectural styles of the buildings. Some streets were very historical, while others were a bit modern. I especially love the little details on the buildings and the graceful way they shaped the buildings. Convenient was the fact that many of my favorite stores were in the same street or near that street. That’s what I prefer, because I hate searching of the whole city looking for that shop I want to visit. We had lunch at the Coffeelab, but I think it was quite expensive. Besides that I thought the carrot cake was so delicious. At night we had dinner at an Italian restaurant called ‘Da Giovanni’ and we had a great time and we had eaten very well. The ambiance of the restaurant was so nice!
A while ago I tried on a blazer with pinstripe, but it was a little bit too tiny. Fortunately I succeeded to find a similar one I saw at Men at Work at the Bershka and I’m very happy with it! I also bought a bright blue knit with shiny and glittery trousers. I would wear this daring outfit when I’m going out for dinner or when I’m having a party.
Have you ever been to Antwerp and do you have some tips for the next time I go?
